Sleep quality, in turn, instead of enhancing physiotherapy and rehabilitation, ends up undermining muscle recovery. Hence, the systemic disruptions of a recent injury seem to significantly affect sleep quality, and reciprocally, sleep quality hinders rehabilitation.” Source
